Default Are Sauber hiding something ?

So far, the teams have been very careful NOT to reveal their backsides... But in this photo of the rear of the new Sauber entry... they are... except...

It appears to me that the diffusser is intentionally being covered up with a vertical piece just under the tail light. Thoughts ?

Yet another 'innovation' by the engineers to undo the latest attempt by the FIA to encourage passing; a 'mini Zamboni'!

Yup, it looks like the old diffusor rule interpretaion issue is going to raise it's ugly head again!

No worries though, Ferrari and McLaren will not get caught out again!

What they haven't been hiding is the fact that they are quick.

Humm, Braun buys Honda and they go on a tear, now BMW drops out and Sauber runs better than ever ... things that make you go humm. (Wonder who their sponsor is?)

its also pre season testing. and the fact that kamui seems to be able to squeeze blood from a stone when it comes to driving a car.

Well, not if it is a GP2 racer prepped by DAMS. I know he won the Asian championship, but in the main series he was 16th both times around with the French squad. I was impressed with him in his rookie season in GP2 as he was the only "new boy" to get into the champaign showers, but I really expected him to do much better in GP2 than he did last season.

Honestly surprised by what I've seen from him in F1. Makes me wonder just how bad were Glock and Trulli anyways. If nothing else it will be an interesting comparison when the season starts in ernest.

as far as glock and trulli I wouldn't blame it totally on them. but you know in Jarno's case hes only got one victory in how long? Kamui drove the **** out of the toyota which was an inferior car. the kid has shown some real drive so lets see what he does with Sauber.

Yeah, looking forward to seeing him run.

Meantime, the Sauber posted a quicker time than Schumi in the Mercedes in the first Jerez session yesterday, this time with de la Rosa at the wheel.

I don't know if it is golden laps or what, but they're running with the big boys and that's gotta be encouraging for them.

Im not surprised they are running witht he big boys. Sauber just capitalized on the new BMW design and just finished it. there again. its pre-season testing and everyone is doing wild crap to push the limits of the cars. I do, however, think sauber will be a consistent top-6 team this year.
