Default End of Season? What End of Season?

For years I thought that after September/ October racing ended till the following year. Not so, bar-eyed breath.
So as I'm spending some time in the Sunshine State,I'm finding it quite the opposite. Three weeks ago I spent a couple of great days at Sebring for their annual Fall Vintage Classic. Even with rain on Friday and Saturday it was a thrill to see some great vintage, and not so vintage race cars winding around that historic venue.Sunday was great, with even a 4hr enduro.
This weekend there is an SCCA National at Homestead- Miami I hope to get to for at least one day, weather looks good.Next weekend Jan 8-9-10 its the Double national at Sebring.
January 23-24th Mazdaspeeds Winter Tour and Skip Barber will be at Homestead Miami Speedway, and in February they will be at Sebring.Get to see some new talent driving.

That looks like a lot of fun. I wish I were solvent and mobile for some weeks in warmer weather (even though it looks like it could get rough down there at times).

I had taken a real vacation after almost thirty years of work and checked out the Rolex race of 1998. I had spent a week down that end and had a nice time checking out some of the state.

The vintage races are always awesome just about anywhere. I have about a hundred negatives and prints from a weekend at Lime Rock some decades ago. I look forward to air showings from the west coast every year but it's not like being present at any of these tracks and perusing both neat corner stations and paddocks.

Cheers
