Default No Milwaukee Mile in 2010

The Wisconsin State Fair and NASCAR say that the two races set for next summer at the Milwaukee Mile are off the schedule.

The two races were the Camping World truck series race on June 18 and the Nationwide Series race on June 19.

The IRL already passed on the traditional event following the Indy 500 at the historic Milwaukee Mile for 2010. At this late date and with no promoter, it will be 2011 before any major series will possibly be back at The Mile.

"The NASCAR Nationwide Series is leaving Milwaukee but not Wisconsin.

NASCAR officials announced Monday that there will be a Nationwide race at the Road America road racing circuit in June."

June 18th - 19th looks like the weekend.

I agree its a crying shame that one of the most historic and still great racetracks in the nation can't get a sponsor for its premier events
