Default Slammin' Sammy Hornish qualifies 12th at Texas

He qualified better than both his Penske team mates. His car seems fairly well hooked up, he's won at this track before----is it time?

Welcome.

It's definitely time for Hornish to bring some results, this is his make-or-break season IMO.

He didn't get lapped today. That's a plus. Do you think Penske will have a place for him if he doesn't pan out? After all, he gave him an Indy win and a championship. I'm not sure he would be competetive in the IRL with all their road and street courses. He's **** on an oval.

Hornish did well enough on the road courses by the time he left the IRL.

Penske said at St. Pete that Hornish needs to deliver in NASCAR this year, i suspect if he doesn't show improvement, he's definitely out. I don't know what level he has to improve to stick around though.
