Default 2010 F1 entry list

It's now official: Here are the squads who have a spot reserved for 2010:

grandprix.com

Looks like Renault decided to stick around - for now, anyways. Manor will be called Virgin from here on out. No Sauber, but Toyota's spot is almost certianly for sale, so maybe we will see them yet.

As I understand it, without an confirmed spot on the 2010 grid, Sauber isn't going to buy his team back from BMW. I would imagine that the Sauber team will more than likely end up with a confirmed spot, the way it looks it very well could be Toyota's.

unless something new has developed the sell back to Sauber is a done deal. and if he does get the spot Petronas has to stay on board as sponsor although he's had Petronas forever.

It was kind of assumed, but Sauber did get official word that they're taking Toyota's spot as soon as they sign the concorde agreement.

Either way they'll be under-powered...

It would seem Campos is in a bit of trouble in terms of finance ...

So much so that former A1GP chief Tony Teixeira is knocking on the door.

Today's laugh: Check out the quotes ...

absolutely unbelivable

Actually Skid... that was yesterday's version of events....

Today... Nakajima is thought to have the budget behind him to move to the front of the auction line and buy those Dallara chassi.

What are you saying Skid - Texeria is a trustworthy guy - hasn't done anything dodgy that I can remember

Do we reckon that Campos has seen the money pit that this will be or is it a real lack of $$$

I understand the Queensland government is still looking for their promised refund.

Actually, I believe it's been a bit of both. My guess is they've found the burn rate to be much steeper than they first expected and now they're scrambling to fit the rest of their budget within the cash available. Anybody connected with the team is telling the press they flat out don't have the funding to last the year.

So this is where Nakajima's funded ride fits in nicely, but unless Toyota/Panasonic is coming with an armoured truck stuffed with $1,000 bills - and a couple of shovels - my guess is there's still a slice of this thing up for grabs for somebody who doesn't want to put their driver in the second car.

That would leave the Piquets out and Tony - well one really ought to count their fingers after shaking hands with the likes of him.
